Today's card is inspired by Moxie Fab World's Tuesday Trigger image this week (scroll down). Isn't it fab? I love the stripes and the combination of colors.
And here is the card that I came up with. It is more of a literal translation using the same color palette as the photo trigger, but I mixed up the stripes a bit by adding the ever-trendy chevron pattern. Because I wanted the chevrons to be the focus of the card, I chose a simple sentiment. Celebrate is perfect for the upcoming New Year and would be equally fantastic as a birthday card.
|Paper is from Bazzill Basics, die cut sentiment is from my craft stash. Finished card size is 4 1/4"x5 1/2"|
This tutorial is fantastic! I ended up using this exact technique to make the chevrons on my card. Because I wanted my chevron to cover the entire card, I cut each paper strip 1/2" wide, adhered them to two 6"x6" pieces of paper, and cut my completed stripes into 1" strips. I had enough to make two cards.
