Fireplace Stockings Christmas Card

Yesterday I shared a quick and easy Christmas card, but if you  have a little more time on your hands, this fireplace stockings Christmas card is a lot of fun to put together!

Fireplace Stockings Christmas Card

I built the fireplace by layering strips of patterned paper on a red card base.  I adhered the mantel and base with foam squares to create added dimension.  Next, I affixed the stocking and sentiment stickers to the fireplace.

I fussy cut candy from patterned paper and layered them behind each stocking sticker.  I also adhered enamel dots to the top of the stocking to act as stocking hangers.

Surprise!  The little fire is on the inside of the card.  I made the fire by free-hand cutting the logs and flames from woodgrain and tissue paper.   I framed the fire with baker's twine and a sentiment sticker.

May your winter be warm!
